Dear Parents and Carers,
As a part of the Pre-Primary to Year 6 Performing Arts curriculum, we have booked Humphreys Dance Studio for 8 dance sessions. Each student participates in dance lessons at the same time each day.
The sessions for all Year 3,4,5 and 6 classes will be held on 27, 28, 29 February, 1,5,6,7 March.
All Pre-Primary, Year 1 and Year 2 students have their dance lessons beginning Tuesday 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29 March 2024.
The last lesson for each group will be a showcase opportunity. Ask your child what time they have their lesson so that you might attend on the last day, sit on the benches around the edge of the hall and watch your child.
Dance is a vital part of the WA Arts Curriculum. Dance promotes creativity, healthy active participation and positive interpersonal skills. Participating in dance activities has been linked to improved literacy skills, enhanced executive function and more flexible thinking. According to Sir Ken Robinson, Dance is just as important as Math.
