Term Four School Community Staff Recognition Awards

Our community recognises and appreciates others who make a significant difference to the education of our students through their knowledge, efforts, sharing and attitude.

All staff members (including teachers, education assistants, gardeners, cleaners, office and support staff) can be nominated.  The Principal is excluded from the nomination process. There is no restriction on how many people you can nominate, however please use one nomination per form.

Please consider who has made a difference to your child/ren and your family through their exceptional work in our school. Positive acknowledgement is especially relevant in 2020, where all of our lives have experienced change due to the impacts of COVID-19, as our staff have demonstrate above-and-beyond flexibility, creativity and professionalism.

Write a few sentences on the nomination form outlining why you appreciate that person’s efforts, and place the nomination in the box at the Front office or via return email to [email protected] prior to 3.00 pm Monday 23 November 2020. All nominees receive a letter containing the kind words from the person who nominated them; staff really appreciate these sentences of acknowledgment of their efforts.

Talk Off 2020

Talk Off will finalised in Week 4, 8.45am in the School Hall, with our Junior competition Thursday 5 November and Senior competition Friday 6 November to choose our 2020 year group champions.

Lapathon

A reminder our annual LAPATHON is being held on Friday 20th November (week 6). The theme this year is Fluoro Fun Friday – dress up and run with your child/ren!! Our fabulous P and C will host a sausage sizzle at the end of the event to continue to build the links...

There is no planet B Musical

The Musical ‘There is no Planet B’ will Premier Friday 30 October in the Tuart Hill Undercover Area.

There will be a 1.50 – 2.50 pm performance for the Junior School.
Then a 4 – 5 pm Performance for Parents, Carers and your special guests.

Student Assemblies

To be able to return to hosting assemblies but remain compliant with Phase Four Government restrictions, we have planned alternate assemblies. Junior Assemblies have changed to Friday afternoon, 2.20 – 2.50 pm, valuing literacy and numeracy learning.  Students and teachers of Room10, Room 11, Room 12, Room 13, Room 14, Room 15 and Room 22 (163 students) attend the Junior Assemblies.

Senior assemblies remain at 8.45 – 9.15 in the morning, to avoid a clash with Senior Sport. Students and teachers of Room 3, Room 4, Room 5, Room 6, Room 7, Room 21 (162 students) attend the Senior Assemblies.

Late Arrivals, Collections and Administration Office Access

Late arrivals need to sign in through to Front Office to ensure their attendance for the day is registered.  Our front office is too small to allow a 2 metre square distance per person and we appreciate your understanding should we have to request that you wait in an alternative area until a position is available for you, as we do everything to keep you and our front office staff healthy and well.

Front Office business is welcomed, however please be aware of our distancing requirements as mentioned above and we do suggest to avoid our busy times of 8.30am – 9am and 2.30pm – 3.00pm if at all possible. 

The Front Office will not be used as a thoroughfare for students to get out to Kiss n Drive.  Students will be asked to go out through the kitchen Garden, to the Front Garden to get to Kiss n Drive.

School Photo Day 2020

Our school photo day is coming! Approximately two weeks prior to the photo day every student will receive a Kapture Photography order envelope to bring home. The recommended method of ordering your photos is online through Kapture’s website as your payment is secure and can be easily verified at any time. If you pay online, there is no need to return the order envelope to school.

Alternatively, you can pay by cash and return the provided envelope to the school on the photography day. Please note the photographers cannot open sealed envelopes and cannot provide change.
