Hot Cross Buns – get your orders in by Tuesday 31 March!
No need to go to the shops this Easter. Lawleys will deliver orders to Tuart Hill Primary School on Tuesday 7 April. Our Easter Bun Coordinator will arrange for her willing helpers to make up orders to be collected after 2.00 pm. Parents need to come to school to collect their packages, thank you.
A link to the order form has been included, complete with online banking details. Of course you may always add cash with your order, which you may place in an envelope then deposit in the clearly labelled box in the front office below the photo of Betty Green.
Please order and support our school community; thank you.
Announcement from the Premier today 26 March 2020
Today the Premier announced whilst all public schools will remain open until the end of term, families are strongly encouraged to keep their children at home if they have the capacity to do so.
I would like to share with you what this will mean for our school community:
Monday 30 March to Friday 3 April
· All children who attend school will be taught as normal.
Final week of Term – Monday 6 April to Thursday 9 April
· Students who attend will be supervised, but not taught normal lessons.
· Teachers and education assistants will prepare teaching programs for Term 2.
The School Administration is in the process of updating our School Policies. We have reviewed the Mobile Phone and Devices Policy, Sun Smart Policy and Student Leadership Policy.
These policies were presented to and endorsed by the School Board on 19 February 2020 and are effective immediately. Our school policies can be found under the Information tab on the website.
I have outlined the changes that have occurred and clarified community expectations on how we need to use the streets around our school, especially at drop-off and pick-up times. Feedback is most welcome – solution-based comments make all the difference to our efforts to continually improve. Parents may email [email protected] or [email protected] or catch me for a chat.
The School Siren will sound at 3.15 pm each school day. This will alert parents that the school boundaries are about to be secured in fifteen minutes, at 3.30 pm. Families are encouraged to leave the school grounds by 3.30 pm and are invited to continue their after school fun at Tuart College or Grenville Park. Exit after this time will need to be through the Front Office.
