SCHOOL BOARD NOMINATIONS INVITED
The School Board has identified that several positions will become available for parents on our 2024-2026 School Board. The positions have a tenure of two years.
The School Board currently meets twice a term on an evening convenient to the majority of the current members commencing at 5.30pm. Meetings usually conclude by 7.00 pm.
Members of the School Board have the important role of assisting our school in its planning and review. This requires keeping informed about school policies and procedures and making contributions to meetings as representatives of the school community, for the best of all stakeholders in the school. Members of the Board often communicate via email and have access to a shared Connect Community where relevant documents are uploaded. More information about the roles and responsibilities of School Boards is available on the Department of Education’s website.
All parents are welcome to nominate. The School Board is particularly interested in receiving nominations from parents with language backgrounds other than English as this will provide better representation of our school community.
If you wish to nominate, please complete the attached nomination form. Another parent from our school community is required to endorse your nomination. Please ensure I have your nomination by 3:00 pm NEXT Thursday 5 September 2024. Nominations may be emailed or returned to my office as a paper copy.
