Dear Parents/Guardians,

Dianella Secondary College is thrilled to invite your child to participate in our upcoming Girls in STEM Day, held on Wednesday, 4th December, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm at Dianella Secondary College, 180 Nollamara Ave, Dianella, 6059.

This event is designed to inspire and empower young girls to explore the exciting fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through engaging hands-on activities. We aim to ignite and nurture your child’s interest in these important areas.

Parents will be required to arrange transport for their child to and from Dianella Secondary College; it is expected that parents would notify our school of any students who will be attending prior to the day.

In addition to the activities, students will also have the unique opportunity to meet Karalee Blake, our very own Aboriginal Education Coordinator, who was recently recognised as the DeadlyScience STEM Educator of the Year. Karalee’s work and achievements are truly inspiring, and we are honoured to have her share her expertise and passion for STEM with our students.

Attached, you will find a flyer with further information. We have also included our canteen menu should your child wish to enjoy refreshments during the day.

To register your child for this enriching event, please visit https://bit.ly/2024T4GirlsInSTEM and complete the consent form.

We believe that Girls in STEM Day will be an exciting and educational experience for your child, and we look forward to welcoming them to our college on the day.

If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact Wayne Sharples at Dianella Secondary College on (08) 9345 9200.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to an inspiring day of learning and exploration for all participating students.
