Partnerships

Tuart Hill Primary School maintains strong community involvement in the school through various partnerships with universities and local organisations, with the goal to support children in all learning endeavours.

University Partnerships

The school provides learning opportunities to university students from Curtin, University of Western Australia and Edith Cowan University through full-time and part-time placements at the school. All students are supervised by University mentors. From Curtin University, we host third year and fourth year students from Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Psychology. From the University of Western Australia, we host Master’s students in Social Work. Whilst, we have Speech Pathology students from Edith Cowan University.

Community Partnerships

In conjunction with the Ability Centre, the school offers a gardening and nutrition program with a focus on sustainability. The school is also working with the Western Australian Police to promote safety and foster positive student values within the community. A representative from the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) teaches science through practical experiments and investigations. The CSIRO is an independent agency of the Australian Federal Government that is responsible for scientific research. The school receives donations of food from Foodbank and allows us to offer Breakfast Club to all students each Friday. We also have a very close positive relationship with Volunteering WA and Ed Connect who work closely with our teachers to support our students.

As a local primary school in Perth, it is common for partnerships to develop between primary schools and high schools. Tuart Hill Primary School works closely with Balcatta Senior High School through science, art and much more.
