Current government legislation prevents parents/carers from entering school grounds. We ask that you farewell and collect your child/ren at school gates.
Staff will be available to meet our Kindy and Pre-Primary students at the K/PP playground gate off Cape Street from 8.30 am each day and will transfer them to class then from 2.45 pm each afternoon for pick-up.
Year One and Two students could be dropped and collected at the south end of Kiss and Drop to enter and leave the school via the south gate on Banksia Street;
Year Three students might be dropped and collected at the Cape Street Year 1,2,3 playground gate.
Year 4,5 and 6 students could be dropped and collected via Lawley Street – the east gate by the Basket Ball Court and west gate by the Footy goals are open –DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD/REN TO WALK THROUGH THE DENTAL CAR PARK;
This leaves the Front Office area clear for urgent parent queries, late pass collections or notified late pick-ups.
Teachers will be directing students to wait inside the school grounds near designated gates until they see their parents arrive, so please be specific with your children where you want them to wait. Students must WAIT for their parents/carers to arrive to collect them and will be expected to do so in a responsible, safe manner. Students must not use any play equipment after school under any circumstances to minimise risk of coronavirus transfer.
Our youngest children will be supervised by staff at pick-up – the KPP students escorted to the west Cape Street gate and the Year One and Two students supervised by Admin at Kiss and Drive. We know that families will need to make their own best adjustment to my proposal, for example make sure your oldest child/ren meets your youngest child at their drop-off point for afternoon pick-up.
These arrangements will commence on 29 April and will be reviewed ahead of Week 4 commencing 18 May. As always, State Government decisions will be based on the best health advice.
